ABOUT JAIME

Giving voice to those unheard.

“The law isn't just about statutes and verdicts — it's about giving a voice to those who are unable to advocate for themselves.”

Jaime's path to the law began at the dinner table. Growing up in the Pacific Northwest with two attorney parents, legal debates were a nightly ritual, and ethical dilemmas were presented as puzzles meant to be solved. Jaime spent countless hours at the family law office, absorbing conversations about justice, advocacy, and the duty of to pursue knowledge and learning for the benefit of others. These lessons shaped a lifelong conviction: the law isn't just about statutes and verdicts — it's about giving a voice to those who are unable to successfully advocate for themselves.

Though Jaime had always planned on a legal career, military service wasn't initially part of the plan. The events of 9/11 occurred while Jaime was in law school and, as was the case for so many Americans, served as a call to action. Jaime applied for and was accepted into the Navy JAG Corps. She was selected early in her career to be part of the Navy's team of lawyers dedicated almost exclusively to courtroom litigation. She also had the opportunity to serve as in-house counsel to the Judge Advocate General of the Navy, drafting law and policy that shaped comprehensive reforms in military justice. All told, over the course of her military career, Jaime served as staff attorney, legal assistance attorney, defense counsel, prosecutor, and ultimately trial judge.

After retiring from military service, Jaime faced a new and highly personal challenge when she became the full-time caregiver for her mother during her final year of life. This undertaking revealed a harsh reality: even attorneys struggle to navigate the complexities of end-of-life legal matters. Jaime often wondered — how do families without legal knowledge manage? And what happens to those who have no one to advocate for them? Driven by firsthand experience and a heart for those facing the realities of being mortal, Jaime dedicated the next chapter of her career to guiding families through life's toughest transitions — whether preparing for the future or finding their way after loss. With a commitment to clarity, compassion, and advocacy, Jaime ensures clients feel supported, confident, and zealously represented through every turn in the road.

Jaime lives in Fairfax Station with her husband Von, their three teenage daughters, and her father (affectionately known to all as "Papa"). Jaime and Von also have three adult sons whose much-anticipated visits are incredible sources of joy. Outside of work, Jaime can often be found savoring quiet time with a classic book, indulging her life-long love of ballet, or accompanying her daughters on their equestrian adventures. Last but not least, Jaime loves long walks with Von any and all times of year.
