Robert Brown

Robert was born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee, to a family from New York and New Jersey. His father's early employment with FedEx (Federal Express back then) brought the family to the South — all of which is to explain why he doesn't really have a Southern accent. This contradiction of being in a place but not of a place helped Robert develop keen senses of empathy and compassion. The desire to fully understand someone's beliefs and preconceptions gave him insight into what motivated them, what they truly valued, and what they were trying to communicate to the world.

Robert has served individuals and families in the Northern Virginia area for over 20 years. Over that time he has demonstrated an ability to distill the many options available to his clients into the few that will help them protect what they truly value. This personalized approach has benefited his clients with a deeper understanding and appreciation of their own estate planning choices.

Robert's friends consider him a trusted backup to any Google search. With a broad range of personal interests and talents, Robert is just as comfortable discussing nuanced estate planning issues as he is changing the oil in his cars. In his free time Robert can be found on a long bike ride or enjoying the latest album that his son has recommended to him.

Robert lives in Ashburn with his wife Corinne, his teenage daughter, a large cat, and a small dog. As a family, they look forward to routine visits from their son who studies computer science at Georgia Tech. Go Yellow Jackets!
